Karen Collyer’s Passion for Science Fiction and AI-Themed Stories
Karen Collyer writes science fiction that immerses readers in AI-driven futures.
About Karen Collyer
Karen Collyer is an English writer living in Wiltshire with her two cats; Finn, an elderly black and white cat who likes to retreat under the bed; and Essa, a red calico Maine Coon who materialised from The End of the Beginning.
Karen is kept busy by ten grandchildren, all of whom were disappointed to be told they had to wait twenty years before they were allowed to read End. This conversation led to the writing of Ghost Writer, a fantasy story for younger readers, which will hopefully be released by the beginning of 2027.
Karen is plagued by neurological issues, which makes writing a challenge. It also makes succeeding a greater achievement.
Karen is currently learning to 'speak' Welsh. The reading is much easier than speaking, when your brain struggles with day-to-day life.
